Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned,
Follows established standards of nursing practices and implements facility policies and proceduresInterpret existing policies and procedures to charge nurses, client assistants, clients, families, and physiciansSupervises and evaluates all direct client care and initiates corrective action as necessaryMake frequent rounds in the facilityObtain report from nurse he/she is relieving and records sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary.Provide report to nurse coming on duty, including sufficient information for follow-up action if necessaryKnowledgeably and competently perform basic nursing skillsIdentify client problems and emergency situations and initiates and immediate plan of action according to facility policies and proceduresFollow, supervise, and evaluate the implementation of the Client Rights programFollow admission procedures and communicates client admissions to other departments, physicians and ancillary service providersProvide clinical supervision of client assistantAssist with covering staffing and making calls to cover any staff call offsParticipate in the employee evaluation process by providing information on the clinical performance of client assistantsReceive medication delivery from pharmacy, checks and documents medications receivedAdminister and document a comprehensive assessment of each client as needed or assignedAssist with the development of an accurate and comprehensive treatment plan based on the client needsPlans, facilitates, and documents treatment groups in accordance with clients treatment plan.Administer PRN medications and treatments as necessaryNotify the physician, when necessary, of changes in clients conditions, weight, medication errors, medication not available, abnormal lab/x-ray results and any other unusual observationsDocument client care provided and the clients response or lack of response to care providedPersonally obtain continuing educationSupervise response to clients calls for assistanceFollow facility discharge/transfer procedure and coordinates discharge/transfer with other departments, physicians, and ancillary service providersPossess clear written and verbal communication skillsAct as a charge nurse and cover the floor/various shifts as needed for the best interest of the facilityPerform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Subacute Detox Nurse ManagerNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at anytimeSupports and assists in crisis intervention and at all other times deemed appropriate in a manner consistent with SMR policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, including all of Silver Maple Recoverys policies and procedures and Quality Assurance Plan, State Licensing standards, and managed care regulationsCertificates and Licenses

Current CPR and First Aid certificate

Valid drivers license
RN or LPN license
