Maintenance Technician – Massillon, OH

Location

Massillon, OH

Pay

$34.40 per hour

Work Schedule

Full‑time position: 10:00 pm – 10:30 pm, Monday – Friday
Overtime as needed

Job Overview
  • Participate in the Risk Management Process (RMP) and assist in developing system and operational standards and corrective actions.
  • Install and maintain all plant manufacturing and packaging machinery and equipment to eliminate downtime and achieve maximum production efficiencies.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and repairs.
  • Record daily maintenance activities, PMs, and work orders.
  • Repair, rebuild, or overhaul equipment as required.
  • Welding experience preferred.
  • Install or repair facilities lights, wiring, machinery motors, electrical panels, breakers, air lines, water lines, or gas lines as needed.
  • Relocate existing lights, plumbing, or electrical lines as needed.
  • Provide a safe and healthful work environment for all personnel by supporting the company’s KHMS processes.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce policies and safety regulations.
  • Work flexible hours, including days, afternoons, midnights, overtime, and weekends as necessary.
  • Other duties and/or projects may be assigned as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two‑year certificate from college or technical school, or two to four years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection of equipment.
  • Ignite knowledge of AC/DC variable frequency drives, motor control, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Ability to use hand tools and trades‑type tools.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration.
  • May be asked to develop and complete welding projects involving stainless and aluminum; TIG and ARC welding techniques; and compliance with USDA required welding techniques.
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and implement corrective action.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, report findings to supervisor, and take appropriate action.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Assure MRO orders are accurate and timely.
  • Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal‑working tools to produce repair parts.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team‑oriented fast‑paced environment.
  • Identify and solve problems; react positively to changes in priorities.
  • Computer literate; ability to learn new software programs.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand technical details, develop technical solutions to problems and system failures, and sequence tasks to accomplish work.
  • Self‑starter who plans and accomplishes work with minimal supervision.
Physical/Mental Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Work in all areas of the facility, including hot and cold areas, and be exposed to wet and humid conditions.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs or 부모.
  • Excellent vision, including distant, peripheral, color recognition, and focus adjustment.
  • High‑noise environment; ear protection required.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts, high and/or confined places, and in outdoor weather conditions.
