Driving School Instructor

Join AAA Driving School as a Full‑Time Driver Training Instructor. In this role, you'll teach safe driving techniques to students of all ages and experience levels, fostering a positive learning environment and applying your knowledge of state driving laws with patience and professionalism.

• Hourly Pay: $20.00/hour

• Full‑time (37.5 hours/week). Flexible availability: 7.5‑hour shifts across day and evening hours. Weekend availability required for at least one day.

• Deliver behind‑the‑wheel instruction to students following AAA’s curriculum.
• Use our driving school software to track and manage student progress.
• Assess student performance and provide personalized guidance.
• Stay current on safe and defensive driving practices and maintain required state documentation.

• Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry.
• Confidence working with the public, especially teens.
• Strong commitment to promoting safe driving habits.
• Flexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day.
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25lbs.
• Capability to safely assume control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience.
• Must obtain state‑issued Driving School Instructor license, which includes passing a DMV‑required physical exam.
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
