We are seeking a reliable and responsible Yard Material Handler to join us at Madison Township Lumber & Supply! This position requires the Yard Material Handler to maintain co‑worker and customer support along with yard inventory stock, putting materials/products away and assisting customers/contractors with the materials/products purchased.

• Must be responsible, punctual with time and attendance
• Move and handle inventory as required
• Pick orders, load and unload trucks with building products (lumber, doors, windows, moulding, etc.)
• Help maintain yard cleanliness
• Operate hand pallet truck and/or forklift and other machinery
• Assist forklift operator, as needed
• Assist customers in yard by preparing customer/contractor purchased materials for pickup
• When assigned to accompany drivers, help navigate to the job site and unload the truck at the job site
• Follows company safety policies and encourages other employees to do the same
• Assist with inventory and verify against physical count of stock
• Work Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Available to work overtime, as needed

• Previous lumber or building supplies experience strongly desired
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• High school or GED preferred
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are required
• Home improvement, building materials & millwork industry knowledge strongly desired
• Ability to work alone or with partner
• Pre‑employment and random drug screening

• Position involves standing, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling and sitting for long periods of time throughout the day
• Must be able to lift 50–90 lbs
• Exposed to cold weather in the winter and hot weather in the summer
