Finance Business Partner

We’re looking for experienced Finance Business Partners to provide high-quality financial advice, insight, and challenge across the Children's and Place services. You’ll support strategic decision-making, influence outcomes, and play a key role in delivering the Council’s medium-term financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and service leaders

Lead on budget setting, monitoring, and financial planning

Provide clear analysis and insight to support decision-making

Challenge and influence to ensure value for money and effective use of resources

Support development of financial strategies, business cases, and service improvements

Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement in financial processes

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and statutory requirements

About YouCCAB qualified (or equivalent) with substantial experience

Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and business partnering

Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Experience working in a complex organisation and managing competing priorities

Desirable:
Local government finance experience
