Home Care Assistant

Home Instead Leek & Moorlands we offer support to individuals living in their own home. We have a range of contracts at present that involve visiting clients in Matlock, Bakewell and the surrounding area
. We are looking for someone reliable, friendly and caring to make a difference to our clients' lives. You must have flexibility to work alternate weekends
. No experience required - just a friendly personality and the right values.

At Home Instead we have minimum 1-hour calls plus suitable travel time to ensure you are not rushed with clients, with mileage reimbursement
. We work to match our Care Professionals and clients together so memorable connections can be established. All initial calls with a client who is new to you will be introductions with the support of another colleague, so you can really get to know your client and their needs.

This is a part-time role. We are looking for individuals who live in Ashbourne with availability to work 3 days per week, plus holiday and sickness cover. This will include alternate weekends.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Support Worker:

• Offering warmth and care during visits.
• Enhance the home atmosphere by aiding in light household chores and meal preparations
  .
• Help clients cherish their time with you, sharing in activities such as reading or watching favourite TV shows.
• Support with personal care tasks such as showering, washing hair, and getting changed.
• Taking clients out to places of their choice e.g. the local shops.
• Ensure transparent communication with clients and loved ones, offering first-rate care and comfort.

Requirements:

• Experience is not required
  ; we offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
• You must have a full driver's licence and dependable transportation for various duties.
• You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
• Must have a caring, friendly disposition to create lasting relationships.

• £12.50-£13.50 per hour, doubled on bank holidays
