Derbyshire Dales District Council are recruiting two new Move More Coordinators to join our team and deliver our new Move More Derbyshire Dales Strategy which is currently in co-production. The roles are part time, delivering a variety of physical activities across the Derbyshire Dales, including weekend and evening delivery when required.
ResponsibilitiesThe Move More Coordinators will deliver sports and activities to all ages and abilities. Targeting different groups from the inactive, people with long term conditions or disabilities, women and girls, youth diversionary, events and festivals, and sports specific programmes e.g. Tennis & Pickleball.
QualificationsThe successful candidate must hold a Level 2 National Governing Body coaching certificate and be capable of leading sessions independently. They should have knowledge and experience of creating and delivering engaging activity sessions and working collaboratively with partners. They will need to be bold and innovative, with excellent organisational, communication and partnership working skills.
ExperienceSelf-motivated, dedicated individuals passionate about sport and physical activity and able to engage people across all ages. Proactive leadership style that will positively enhance people’s experience of sport and physical activity. Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding of challenges and barriers to participation.
Working LocationThis position is based in the Sports Development section of the Community Development department in the District Council Offices, Matlock. However, the majority of the work will be out in the community.
