Ryan, Geer, Field & Rhodes PLLC is a North Carolina-based Certified Public Accounting firm that provides a range of tax, financial and accounting services to small and medium size business and their owners. We are also members of accounting network Russell Bedford International we offers opportunities for liaison with many other CPA firms around the USA and globally.
We are looking for a CPA with minimum 3 years experience in public accounting to become an Associate of our firm with a view to Ownership in the near future. We are building for growth now, and we want to bring future leaders into that process. We are also investing heavily in technology and AI. Our goal is not to replace good tax professionals with technology.
It is to take as much of the repetitive work off their plates as possible so they can spend more time reviewing returns, solving problems, working with clients and becoming the kind of advisor clients rely on. The person joining us would have an opportunity to help shape that process as we grow.
This is a full-time hybrid role for a CPA who will work with our experienced team to provide expertise and advice on tax and accounting issues. You will have direct contact with clients and will often supervise projects with members of our team or work on projects yourself.
The firm does mostly business and individual tax returns. We also do monthly accounting and fractional CFO work and are looking to grow our financial review and compilation engagement work, particularly in the non-profit space. Our business finance expertise includes business valuations and M&A transaction support (buy and sell side).

Our office is in Matthews, NC but we encourage flexibility in terms of working remote and hours of work. We value your independence and treat our team as professionals. This role is ideal for self-starters looking to take charge of their own destiny with a small young team of Christians.
Qualifications- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification
- Proficiency in preparing Tax returns for individuals, businesses and Trusts/Estates
- Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and conducting Review and Compilation engagements
- Prior experience in public accounting required
