Summary/Objective
The Estimator is responsible for preparing competitive bids for assigned commercial construction projects. These projects may include hard bid, negotiated, and design/build opportunities. The Estimator plays a key role in the preconstruction process by evaluating documents, obtaining subcontractor pricing, and contributing to the development of strong industry relationships.

This position does not include direct supervisory duties but may serve as a mentor or resource for other team members.
Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a dynamic office setting, with occasional field visits for site assessments and pre-bid meetings. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn during site visits as needed.
Physical RequirementsThe Estimator primarily works at a desk and may spend extended periods on the screen. Occasionally, the role may require lifting up to 15 lbs. During site visits, climbing ladders or walking on uneven surfaces may be necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is an exempt, full-time position. Hours of work are Monday-Friday, with 40 hours per week being the minimum expectation.
TravelMost work will be completed in-office. Occasional travel to project sites, pre-bid meetings, or training events is required. A company vehicle will be provided for business-related travel.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology
- General IT literacy
Education and Experience
- Two or more years of experience in construction estimating
- Experience with Viewpoint, Bluebeam, Office 365, and bid software (e.g., Smart Bid)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
