We Are Currently Seeking An Experienced DIETARY SERVICES DIRECTOR
.

Job Description
  • Assure quality dietary services by directing, coordinating, and supervising Dietary Services staff.
  • Assume responsibility as Dietary Services Director in accordance with local, state, and federal sanitation and other laws regulating food service, as well as Facility policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate food service to assure patients receive nutritious, attractively served diets as ordered by their attending physician in accordance with approved corporate menu cycle.
  • Participate in Care Plans & MDS conferences.
  • Complete nutritional assessments and dietary sections of MDS.
  • Prepare and monitor work schedule for dietary services staff.
  • Monitor orientation and training of dietary services employees per Facility policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Dietary Manager Training program, which has been approved by the Dietary Managers Association and pass the National Certification exam.
  • Keep current ‘card’ (certification) by attending seminars and/or workshops, completing at least 45 hours every three years.
  • Knowledgeable of cost accounting, record keeping, budget planning, menu planning, diet therapy, and purchasing procedures, as well as dietary management, and serve on related committees as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience with MDS and the ability to accurately assess nutritional needs of residents.
  • Leadership ability and organization skills.
  • Read, know and follow personnel, department and Facility procedures.
  • Compliance with DMA Code of Ethics and Standards of Performance.
