SCANNER – Greensboro Distribution Reclaim Center

Location: Greensboro, NC

Shift: 1st shift (6am start)

Position Summary: Operate a computerized bar code scanner to process returns according to Harris Teeter guidelines.

• Scan product codes and input data into the company’s computerized system accurately and productively.
• Sort scanned products into appropriate container locations.
• Inspect product condition and prepare for disposition per Harris Teeter guidelines.
• Clean and organize work area daily.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma preferred or its equivalent; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Ability to work under time pressure and meet production goals.
• Ability to assist other operations within the warehouse as needed.
• Ability to meet set production and quality goals following standard operating and safety procedures.
• Ability to work with hazardous waste.
• Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.

• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands or arms.
• Frequently talk or hear and read instructions on a computer monitor and/or printed on paper.
• Regularly stand, kneel or stoop, and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Regularly view items at an extremely close range and adjust focus.
• Support a safe work environment by following safety rules and reporting all hazards.
