Pipe Welders are key contributors to our fabrication team, specializing in high‑quality welding and fitting work that ensures the structural integrity and performance of critical systems. This role involves blueprint interpretation, setup, and producing X‑ray quality welds.

• Select equipment, plan layouts, assemble, and weld, applying knowledge of geometry, metal properties, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components in various positions and identify all equipment required.
• Legibly document all weld information and create weld maps.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack‑welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using the gas metal arc welding process.
• Identify all safety risks and requirements.
• Must pass a 6G GMAW weld test before hire.
• 2+ years of experience welding industrial‑size, 40/80/160 schedules and in 2G, 4G, and 6G positions.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
• Thorough knowledge of metals characteristics and appropriate welding processes.
• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipe.
• Assist pipe fitters with installation, preparation, and fabrication when not actively welding.
• Reliable transportation, ability to work at heights, and meet all physical requirements.
• Have all required tools upon start date.

Work in office, shop, traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties. Frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, adverse weather, confined spaces, and elevated positions. Must use all required PPE, lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods, bend, work on ladders, in personnel lifts, workboats, and awkward positions.
