Position: Outpatient Psychiatrist opening south of Champaign, IL

Seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join our outpatient team consisting of one full‑time adult psychiatrist, one full‑time child and adolescent psychiatrist, and three full‑time adult psychiatry APPs. We are proactively looking to replace the adult psychiatrist’s future retirement. The adult psychiatrist sees high‑acuity patients and serves as supervising physician for the APPs. The clinic’s dynamic is wonderful and a good personality fit will be important to maintain.

The clinic is slated to move to a newly renovated space 5 minutes from the hospital campus this summer. Our group also offers a 16‑bed inpatient adult psychiatry unit for any patients needing direct admission. We are not an addiction or Suboxone center and prefer to focus on therapy and medication management.

The Community

The area is centrally located between major metropolitan centers, offering convenient access to Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis, all within a two– to three‑hour drive via interstate highways.

Residents enjoy short commute times, typically less than 15 minutes door‑to‑door, allowing for more quality time with families and engagement in leisure activities. The low crime rate provides a sense of security, and the close‑knit community fosters familiarity among neighbors and fellow residents.

Both towns boast excellent schools, including private options, and higher education opportunities are available at Eastern Illinois University in one town and at Lake Land College in the other. The region offers a wide range of recreational activities such as golf, tennis, horseback riding, water skiing, sailing, camping, canoeing, hiking, fishing, and hunting. Residents also enjoy local art, theater, athletic events, and historical sites.
