OverviewThe Procedural Nurse provides nursing services to patients in assigned clinical unit incorporating the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs, thus providing continuing healthcare to individuals and families.
Qualifications- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field
- Experience in oncology or oncology‑related setting preferred
- Coordinates and clarifies roles and care provided by multi-disciplinary teams and community resources for specific patients or groups.
- Delivers physical care to patients following medical direction, including monitoring patient response, administering medications, and collecting and processing specimens accurately.
- Formulates a goal‑directed plan of care prioritized based on determined patient problems and outcomes.
- Plans and validates activities related to nursing care for specific patients.
- Provides health assessment and education, counseling to patients, families and groups.
- Assists in training students of all disciplines.
- Performs advanced nursing activities such as assisting with conscious sedation procedures, placement of IVs, and administering sedation and other IV medications.
- Mixes chemotherapy and participates in prior authorizations and infusions as required.

The compensation range is $30.39 per hour - $52.27 per hour, representing a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors including experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts, and compensation model.
