Digital Solutions Manager –
First Mid
Serve as the leader of the Digital Solutions team responsible for day‑to‑day operations of the bank’s digital platforms and offerings. Work cross‑functionally with retail banking, sales, IT, compliance and product teams to optimize digital channels (online, mobile, payments) while ensuring regulatory, security, and user‑experience standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage digital banking solutions for retail and commercial clients, focusing on functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance digital product offerings and implement process improvements.
- Lead the management and optimization of digital banking channels (online banking, mobile banking, payments platforms) to ensure seamless, reliable, and secure experiences.
- Identify and prioritize new features and functionalities based on customer needs, business objectives, and emerging trends; coordinate with leadership and project teams to implement enhancements while maintaining system stability and security.
- Oversee platform performance using analytics tools to monitor uptime, transaction volumes, and response times; troubleshoot or escalate issues as needed and communicate effectively when problems arise.
- Translate business objectives into measurable KPIs for the platform team; track, analyze, and report on performance metrics and implement corrective actions when targets are at risk.
- Manage relationships with third‑party vendors, ensuring SLAs are met and coordinating system updates or new integrations.
- Work closely with compliance and IT security teams to ensure digital channels adhere to regulatory requirements, including user authentication, data privacy, and transaction monitoring.
- Supervise, support, and coach team members to maintain quality standards and excellent service levels; provide daily operational assistance, assign tasks, review performance, and recommend personnel decisions.
- Manage regulatory compliance for treasury products—monitors federal and state regulations, performs research, implements and communicates new policies, conducts internal audits, and liaises with audit/OCC personnel.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all digital systems, providing guidance to staff on utilization, issues, and updates.
- Research, develop, and implement new policies, procedures, and programs to enhance profitability and service features.
- Work closely with employees and customers to answer questions and resolve issues for Retail, Small Business, and Commercial platforms.
- Ensure compliance with the Federal Reserve’s Fedline Assurance Certification and collaborate with Fedline users, the Information Security Officer, and Internal Audit.
- Complete required training associated with the job function.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on business, finance, computer science or related field preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- 5+ years banking operations experience.
- Familiarity with security protocols, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards in digital banking (e.g., NACHA rules for ACH, FFIEC guidelines).
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training for employees and create customer education materials to support smooth transition to new digital solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform stakeholders and customers about changes, enhancements, and updates to digital platforms.
