Position: Packaging Operator - Night Shift ONLY

Key Responsibilities

Performs all of the following duties on a 4x7 rotational basis working 12 hour shifts in the packaging area of the plant: line operation – run to schedule, do changeovers, troubleshoot lines; maintain smooth operation of palletizer; perform required quality checks and reporting; monitor product flow to line; meet cut-off and tonnes requirements; enter work orders into the MIS system as needed and support maintenance on calls.

Maintain a clean, safe work environment that promotes associate safety and product integrity.

Actively address food safety and quality concerns.

Improve operations through individual and group problem solving and provide leadership in solving problems on the floor and in meetings.

Promote high quality team environment through effective teamwork and self‑management with a positive attitude.

Hours of work: 6pm - 6:30am

Shifts: 12 hour 2/2/3 schedule

Context and Scope

Ability and willingness to develop and manage self, demonstrate self directed workgroup leadership, and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost optimization with minimal supervision.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high and/or confined spaces and have full mobility with ability to climb ladders and stairs.

Job Specifications/Qualifications Education & Professional Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent plus 1‑2 years’ experience (manufacturing environment preferred).

Knowledge / Experience

Good basic math, reading, and writing skills. Good mechanical aptitude. Basic knowledge of personal computers. Good problem‑solving skills. Good housekeeping skills and knowledge of GMPs.

Participate in site JTM’s, Lean Teams, and focus groups as appropriate. Train other area associates in operation of lines. Ability to cover vacations for other packaging associates in this role.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.

The pay range listed is applicable to IL: USD 19.84 - USD 27.28
