Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a general medical observation unit, requiring 2 years of specialty experience and comfort with Bi-Pap and high flow O2.

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty required
• 2 professional references from similar experience (1-2 years) required

• Work on a 21-bed general medical observation unit (4 West)
• Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, infections, and UTI cases
• Requires comfort managing Bi-Pap and high flow O2 therapy
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope to similar units may be required
• No on‑call requirements
• Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred
• Must have a verifiable permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility, no exceptions
• Local candidates not accepted
• RTO must be submitted with candidate profile
