American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a 21-bed general medical observation unit, requiring 2 years of specialty experience and an active IL RN license.
Details- 21-bed general medical observation/telemetry unit
- Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, infections, and UTI cases
- Requires comfort managing Bi-Pap and high flow O2 therapy
- 12-hour day shifts, 3-4 shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within scope to similar units
- No on-call responsibilities
- Active IL RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty required
- Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred
- 2 professional references from similar experience (1-2 years) required
- Provide medical/surgical and telemetry nursing care to general medical observation patients
- Must have a verifiable permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility, no exceptions
- Local candidates not accepted
- RTO must be submitted with candidate profile
