Curry Construction is growing, and we’re looking for experienced Pipe Welders to join our hardworking team on exciting industrial and commercial projects across Central Illinois.

Pay $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience and weld test
$1,000.00 Sign on Bonus (after 30 days)

- Interpret and work from isometric drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to layout, cut, fit, and weld piping systems.
- Weld pipe in various positions (2G, 3G, 5G, 6G) using processes such as TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Stick (SMAW) on carbon steel, stainless steel, and occasionally exotic metals.
- Ensure alignment and fit-up of pipe joints before welding, using levels, lasers, and pipe fitting tools.
- Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of welds to ensure compliance with applicable codes and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with pipe fitters, project managers, and safety personnel to coordinate installations and maintain safe, organized job sites.
- Operate and maintain welding tools and equipment, including torches, grinders, and welding machines.
- Follow company and client-specific safety protocols, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Minimum 1 year of pipe welding experience in industrial or commercial construction
- Proficient in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding processes
- Ability to pass weld tests (ASME code certs a plus)
- Strong understanding of pipe fitting principles
- Safety-conscious with a solid work ethic and team mindset
