Audit Director​/Audit Manager - State and Local Government

We are currently seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice. Our SLG group is one of the fastest-growing practice areas within CLA, consisting of 600 professionals serving over 2,100 local, county, and state government agencies.

• Manage and develop relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to positively impact their communities.
• Help clients meet their audit and financial planning objectives using various tools.
• Engage in staff development, mentoring, and oversee client engagement teams.
• Lead engagement progress by monitoring budgets and deadlines, and communicate developments to the engagement principal with facts, conclusions, and recommendations.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience, emphasizing financial statement preparation and audits.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and managing governmental and Single audits is strongly preferred.
• CPA license certification is required.

The wage range in Washington DC is $122,200 - $152,750 - $183,300.

The wage range in Maryland is $109,558 - $136,948 - $164,337.
