Controls Engineer

Kata Solution has partnered with a top Engineering Firm in Maumee, Ohio to help them locate an Electrical Controls Engineer.

This is a soup to nuts Engineer. Responsible for design, programming from scratch and installation at client location. Allen Bradley experience is a must.

• Evaluate and upgrade outdated machine control systems to current technologies.
• Design and implement electrical control solutions, including PLC and HMI programming.
• Integrate and configure SCADA systems for monitoring, data logging, and diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues on existing machinery.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, electricians, and production teams during system upgrades and commissioning.
• Document control system changes and maintain electrical schematics and software backups.

• 4+ years of experience with industrial machine controls and SCADA systems.
• Proficiency with PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley) and SCADA software (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware).
• Experience with electrical panels, sensors, drives, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on upgrade projects.
