Lead the Way in Transportation Design
The Mannik & Smith Group (MSG) is growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Transportation Roadway Engineer to join our Maumee, OH team!
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to take the lead on ODOT, LPA, and municipal roadway projects
, mentor talented staff, and play a key role in shaping transportation systems that keep communities connected.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the preparation of transportation design plans and 3D models for ODOT and local agency roadway and municipal projects.
- Perform and review design calculations
, including drainage design, quantities, maintenance of traffic, and pavement design. - Prepare complete design packages
, including special provisions, construction estimates, and bid documents for milestone submittals. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, supporting their professional growth.
- Collaborate across disciplines and support ODOT, LPA, and MDOT projects
, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout design and delivery.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10–15 years of roadway or transportation design experience
- Proficiency in Micro Station Open Roads Designer (ORD) required
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D highly desirable
- Strong understanding of ODOT and LPA design standards
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project coordination skills
