Recruiter, Talent Acquisition for The McAlear Group, Inc.

This position is responsible for determining operations to produce products and developing processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met. This position troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action. The process engineer also researches the purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Optimize process yield and productivity through continuous improvement programs.
  • Generate and update work instructions for production processes as required.
  • Participate in New Product Development process to evaluate concepts, design, prototype, and test.
  • Collaborate with engineering to resolve customer quality issues related to manufacturing process issues.
  • Supervise operator training.
  • Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
  • Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures and processes.
  • Assembles reports to document process status and changes.
  • Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.
  • Communicates findings and proposals to Management.
  • Provides thorough work instructions for successful implementation of process changes.
  • Assesses compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assists Quality in documenting process changes and workflows.
  • Able to use AutoCAD for layouts and 3D Modeling Software (Solid Works) to create fixtures, jigs, or assemblies.
  • Will work alongside manufacturing lines 50%-70% of the time.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in safety meetings or cross functional meetings.
  • Answer phone calls from vendors or show them the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • May be required to lift to 50+ pounds.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Sitting at computer for periods of time
COMPETENCY, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Previous Roll‑forming & Stamping Experience Preferred
  • Excellent Excel or data handling skills and strong understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in development, implementation and maintenance of quality systems and processes.
  • Able to accomplish root cause analysis and resolve problems on a conceptual and advanced troubleshooting level.
  • Must be friendly and patient.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues based on discretion and good judgment.
  • Highly ethical
  • Must be detailed oriented, well organized and be able to successfully handle multiple tasks.
  • Conflict resolution and problem solving are key components of this position as well.
  • Forklift certified helpful but not necessary.
  • Strong hands on manufacturing a processing experience
  • Experience in roll forming and Tool & Die processes
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (BSME/IE) or similar degree
PREFERRED
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (BSME/IE)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a process Engineering role
  • Background in Garage Door Manufacturing, Tool & Die, Hydraulics & Pneumatics
  • Strong Understanding of Microsoft Office/Microsoft Excel/3D Solid Works Design
