We’re seeking an experienced CNC Programming and Machining Supervisor to lead our skilled team, shape the next generation of machinists, and drive process excellence. What You’ll Do- Program 2D and 3D CNC machines using Hyper Mill CAM software.
- Create and modify tooling designs using Solid Works CAD software.
- Execute machining operations with precision, ensuring part accuracy and meeting production deadlines.
- Optimize machining and design processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Lead and schedule the CNC production team, prioritizing execution, safety, and quality.
- Mentor apprentices through the state-registered apprenticeship program, providing hands-on training and feedback.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to align on priorities.
- Drive innovation by adopting new machining and CAD technologies.
- Ensure quality control and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- High school diploma and Completion of a State Registered Apprenticeship program required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field a plus.
- 3–7 years of experience in CNC programming, machining, and CAD design (Solid Works preferred).
- 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- Experience in automotive tooling or thermoforming manufacturing preferred. Expertise in Solid Works CAD software for tooling design.
- Strong knowledge of Tool & Die design, machining processes, and material properties.
- Exceptional leadership, execution, mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High emotional maturity, resilience, and adaptability to new technologies.
- Ability to lift 10–50 pounds and perform physical tasks in a production environment.
- Experience in Hyper Mill CAM software for CNC programming preferred; experience with Master Cam.
- Master Cam certification is highly preferred.
- Solid Works Professional or Associate certification (e.g., CSWP, CSWA).
- Completion of Hyper Mill training courses (Hyper
MILL Training). - Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
