Summary: To work as a nurse at Sunshine, you must have a strong interest in providing nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that supports our mission: to create community among people with developmental disabilities, their families, friends, and staff
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care and administer medications/IV therapies.
- Assess health needs and update care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Make appropriate emergency and non-emergency clinical decisions.
- Maintain accurate medical records, medication records, and incident reports.
- Monitor compliance with nursing, Medicaid, and agency regulations.
- Conduct chart audits, assessments, and required nursing tasks.
- Train, mentor, and support nurses and other staff.
- Maintain medications, equipment, and nursing supplies.
- Communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care across shifts and locations.
- Assist with daily nursing workflow and troubleshooting.
- Maintain professional licensure and complete required training.
- Represent Sunshine professionally within the community and healthcare organizations.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and proof of auto insurance
- Pass criminal background, drug screen, physical & PT assessment
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- 18 years or older
