Locations: CONUS, OCONUS, and the Pacific (Guam, Japan, South Korea)
CMS is an award-winning construction contractor with design-build experience and strong self-performance capabilities in mechanical, piping, and fabrication work. Our scope of services includes new construction, renovations, fueling systems, and energy systems for a wide range of commercial and federal government clients. As a prime contractor, we have the ability to execute a full range of construction disciplines. In addition, our mechanical capability enables us to self-perform technically challenging mechanical and fuels work.
Position Summary:
Responsible for overall management of the QC program and acting in all QC matters for the contractor. Will coordinate, implement, oversee, and document the quality control program on DoD POL projects, and identify, analyze, and develop improvements in productivity and client service as they relate to the quality management system.
Ideal experience includes installation of piping and valves, mechanical repairs or upgrades, tank construction or repair, application of MIL DTL 24441 coatings, API & SSPC inspections, commissioning of POL systems, and related repairs. Functional expertise and broad knowledge in tank inspection, cleaning, and repair, as well as fuel facility piping systems, is preferred.

Qualifications and
Experience:
- Five (5) years of DoD POL construction-related management experience within the last five (5) years (commercial or military experience does not apply)
- Three (3) consecutive years of on-site experience as a POL Quality Control Specialist within the last five (5) years
- Associate’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or a High School Diploma/GED with equivalent field experience
- Certificate of completion from a USACE or NAVFAC QC Management course (current, not older than 4 years)
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to U.S. Government facilities (security clearance not required)
- OSHA 30-Hour Training Certificate (not older than 5 years)
- Confined Space Competent Person Certificate
- Current CPR & AED Certificate
- Ability to represent the company verbally, in writing, and in person
- Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for results
- Strong understanding of construction-related technologies, quality activities, and quality auditing
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings, specifications, technical instructions, and reports
- Familiarity with POL-related and general construction disciplines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong collaboration skills for the implementation of QC processes
