Staff Accountant

Overview

Arkansas Talent Group is searching for a skilled Staff Accountant with over three years of experience and exposure to accounts payable (
AP
),
accounts receivable (
AR
),
general ledger (
GL
), and reconciliations
. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and accuracy of our organization by managing various accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Base pay range
: $55,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

• Accounts Management: Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
• Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and summaries to provide insights into the financial status of the company.
• Month-End and Year-End Closures: Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end and year-end financial closures, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and assist in the preparation of documents for audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations. Heavy AP preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Quick Books experience required.
