Veterinary Kennel Technician

Maumelle Animal Clinic is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced 2‑doctor general and emergency small animal practice located in Maumelle, Arkansas. We offer a wide range of services including preventative care, surgery, urgent care, high‑speed dentistry, in‑house diagnostics, digital full‑body radiology, boarding, bathing and grooming, and more. The kennel tech is responsible for the care, feeding, medicating, and cleaning of our patients in the hospital and our clients in the boarding facility. Duties include cleaning, laundry, bathing, feeding, walking dogs, medicating, restocking hospital supplies, assisting with post‑operative patients, and helping doctors and assistants with animal restraint and exams. You will maintain proper record‑keeping of medications, special foods, appetite, behavior, and any issues that arise while the animal is in our care.

Training will include cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments.

• Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods.
• Proper animal restraint techniques.
• Proficiency with cleaning materials and equipment.
• Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor (large dogs, bags, pet foods, etc.).
• Compassionate and patient care for sick, scared, or injured animals.
• Capability to learn medication administration and recognize abnormal conditions.
• Understanding and following oral and written directions.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues.
• Availability for weekend/holiday work.

Pay Range: $11.15 per hour
