Overview
Dillard’s has an exciting opening in the Equipment Services Department for an Electronics Repair Technician at the Maumelle, Arkansas, Distribution Center. Our technicians are the backbone of our hardware repair, working on point of sale systems, mobile checkouts, printers, PCs, televisions, security cameras, and more. TheTeam
The Electronics Repair team is a small but mighty group of 25 on-site members and 10 off-site technicians who integrate and configure new hardware and refresh configurations for legacy hardware. As a technician, you will be part of a fast-paced, hands-on environment that is integral to our company, collaborating to finalize repairs, manage inventory, and ensure items ship out on time.
Responsibilities- Inspect and test electronic equipment, diagnose circuit, component, and equipment faults
- Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability for installation/repair
- Complete work orders and tests
- Provide logistics to/from stores for defective and repaired equipment
- Occasional travel out of state may be required, but will mostly be local
- Must have an A+ Certification within the first 6 months of hire
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs without restrictions
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to perform occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity
- Willingness to accept guidance
- Initiative and attention to detail
- Be ready to take the first portion of the A+ Certification by the end of the third month
- Be exposed to all types of equipment we service
- Understand how to package completed equipment to ship out
- Have a solid understanding of how to use Pro-Ship
- Be comfortable navigating appropriate shipping lanes
- Be comfortable completing general troubleshooting and diagnosis of scanning devices, gateways, and access points, and other related hardware
- By 60 days, the technician should be working independently with minimal guidance
- Ability to start cross-training into another area of the team focused on different hardware
- General basic knowledge of Android operating systems and related software
- Assist with special projects and handle all six micro areas with minimal guidance
- If not already A+ certified, have at least 50% of tests complete
- Be comfortable going on call for hardware replacements in 1-week rotations
