Assistant Vice President, Insurance Services & Operations
The primary function of the Assistant Vice President, Insurance Services & Operations, is to manage and support the Life and Long Term Care insurance application process and assist in servicing existing policies for individuals, families, and businesses.
This individual plays a critical role in facilitating the underwriting process, ensuring that insurance applications are processed efficiently and accurately while coordinating with clients, carriers, and internal teams. The Assistant Vice President also assists with ongoing policy servicing, handling updates, reviews, and any necessary modifications to ensure clients’ Life and LTC insurance needs continue to align with their financial and estate planning goals.
Responsibilities- Assist with the design and preparation of life insurance illustrations, quotes, and product comparisons.
- Provide in-depth product expertise and Ivite competitive analysis to support client recommendations.
- Stay current on insurance product offerings and carrier updates to ensure optimal solutions for clients.
- Oversee the medical underwriting process, including gathering necessary medical documentation and facilitating communication between clients, carriers, and advisors.
- Track and report on underwriting progress, keeping the Insurance Planning Team updated regularly. tertiary.
- Manage in-force policies by creating detailed policy review documents, ensuring continued alignment with clients’ financial and personal goals.öhnt>
- Respond to client service requests such as policy changes, beneficiary updates, and premium modifications.
- Proactively monitor upcoming premiums and reach out to clients to prevent policy lapses.
- Monitor the Ancora insurance inbox, ensuring timely responses to client and partner inquiries.
- Manage and update insurance commissions, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting in the CRM system.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate policy data to support smooth operations and efficient client servicing.
- Assist with enhancing Smart Office CRM capabilities for greater efficiency in case management and policy servicing.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Insurance Planning and the broader insurance team to support ongoing client engagements and service delivery.
- Act as a key resource for wealth advisors, providing quotes, illustrations, and policy information in a timely manner.
- High School Diploma, required
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
- Life & Health Insurance license and certifications, preferred
- 3+ years of life insurance experience, preferred
- 3+ years of experience in customer service and operations, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with insurance software such as Proformex, SURELC, Smart Office, iPipeline, and Docu Sign
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- High degree of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective problem-solving, time management, and project management skills
