Position Title: Ultrasound Technician
Location: Mayfield, Kentucky, USA
Job Type: Permanent
Salary Range: USD $51,000 – $73,900 (based on experience and skillset)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sonographic examinations as ordered by physicians.
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images and assist in diagnosis and patient care.
  • Maintain equipment and exam rooms in a clean and functional state.
  • Ensure adequate stock of necessary supplies and notify supervisors when items need replenishment.
  • Deliver age-appropriate care to patients across all age groups.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure appropriate imaging standards and accuracy of scans.
  • Act as a resource for clinical staff regarding the appropriateness and interpretation of scans.
  • Work effectively in a fast‑paced or high‑pressure environment, taking necessary and timely action.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient care standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology.
  • Certified by DMS, ARRT, or equivalent accrediting body.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant ultrasound/sonography experience (3 years preferred).
  • Strong critical thinking and independent judgment skills.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to follow clinical protocols and ensure quality imaging.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or fast-paced clinical environment.
