Job Type: PRN Night Shift

Location: Mayfield, KY

Jackson Purchase Medical Center is a 107-bed all private, Joint Commission‑accredited facility located in Mayfield, Kentucky. From emergent to elective, our services include inpatient and outpatient care, the New Beginnings Birthing Center, the Advanced Healing Wound Care Center, and our accredited chest pain center.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Works with patients’ families to help improve the patient’s abilities and help them deal with illness.

• Critical thinking skills
• Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Capability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

• Associate’s degree required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
• Handle With Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire

• Registered Nurse licensed to work in the State of Kentucky
• New graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment
