A Speech‑Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech‑language and therapy needs.
- Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
- Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.
- Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
- Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
- Licensed Speech Therapist;
Current licensure with KY Board of Speech‑Language Pathology & Audiology. - Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
