Key Responsibilities- Pullsconduitandwire.
- Locatesequipmentsuchacelectricalmotors,components,andcircuitgrounds.
- Cleanselectricalmotorcomponents,breakers,andswitchgear.
- Testselectricalcircuits.
- Lubricatesequipmentsuchasmotors,fans,gears,andvalves.
- Checks batteries.
- Checksandreplacesfuses.
- Checkscircuitbreakers,motors,andprecipitators.
- Installs cable.
- Usestestequipmentsuchasampprobeandmultimeter.
- Operatesmobileequipmentsuchasboomtruck,man-lift,tractor,and forklift.
- Installsandmaintainspowerplantelectricalandelectronicequipmentandsystemstoensureefficientoperation.
- Maintainselectricalandelectronicequipmentinaccordancewithpreventativemaintenanceprograms.
- Troubleshootsandrepairselectricalandelectronicequipment.
- Maintainsandrepairstoolsandequipmentofrequireduseforthisposition.
- Assistsplantoperatorsandmaintenancemechanicsinperformingpreventativeorscheduledmaintenanceandmajor/minorrepairsonall
Plant
Equipment,whichmayrequirestrenuouslifting,movingoruseoftoolsormachines.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) year technical training or Associate degree in electrical or electronics field preferred. - Electrical Maintenance Foreman - Associates degree or two year technical degree in related area. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
Experience:
- Three (3) years related experience preferred.
Additional technical training may substitute for a portion of the experience requirement. - Electrical Maintenance Foreman - Five (5) years of related experience. Experience working in a leadership capacity is preferred.
- Knowledge of power plant process preferred.
- Must be able to understand and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and instructional manuals.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding operations and maintenance tasks.
- Must be knowledgeable in the use of electrical test equipment and a variety of hand tools.

- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and live within one (1) hour of the Plant.
May be required to work 12-hour rotating swing shift; scheduled and non-scheduled overtime is a normal part of the job. - This is an on-call position with a telephone required.
- Must pass an aptitude test, physical ability test and follow procedures for wearing a respirator and other protective equipment.
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting over 100 lbs.
Regular climbing and work at heights on ladders and stairs required, as well as above ground grating and platforms. - Work environment conditions include:noise, heat in excess of 100 degrees, gas emissions, chemical vapors, dust, high-pressure lines and high voltage equipment.
