Maintenance Mechanic II
Medxcel is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic II to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems and equipment for assigned facilities.
Location:
McAlester, OK.

Mechanical System Maintenance and Repair – 80%- Install, maintain, and repair equipment such as steam valves, steam traps, water coils, radiators, water softeners, unit heaters, and condensate pumps.
- Install, service, and repair electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and other related equipment using hand and power tools.
- Install, maintain, and repair air compressors and other air‑conditioning equipment.
- Service and repair appliances such as fans, washers, and gasoline pumps; may maintain motor vehicles (tune‑ups, brakes, hydraulics).
- Maintain central steam and chemical water treatment systems, diagnose malfunctions using gauges and test instruments.
- Fabricate, assemble, and test parts such as pumps, valves, heaters, compressors, and other mechanical system components using metal fabricating tools, hand tools, power tools, and welding torches.
- Operate electrical and air‑powered tools, pipe fitting, welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other mechanical tools, snow‑removal and salt‑spreader equipment, and/or other heavy equipment assigned to the department.
- Install new/replacement equipment and materials in facilities by performing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, masonry, glazing, boiler, hydraulic, pneumatic, irrigation, heating, refrigeration, ventilating, and air-conditioning work.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctions in boilers, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems, structures, and equipment.
- Open, repair, maintain, and install all types of locks, doors, or related electronic interfaces and assemblies to ensure efficient door function in compliance with life‑safety regulations.
- Maintain shop master key boxes, record issuance of all keys, and operate key machines to duplicate or generate keys as needed.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars to gather information needed to perform job functions.
- Assist and participate in special projects or technically complex maintenance and repair as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must have one or more of the following:
- Graduate of trade school and 2 years of related experience.
- 4 years of related experience.
- Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
