- Engineering:
Bachelor’s degree in a civil or related engineering discipline meeting state licensure requirements. - Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
Intermediate – Minimum of 6 years of professional experience with at least 1 year as Deputy Project Manager.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, lifecycle, industry standards, city, state, and federal rules, tools, and software.
- Skills leadership, communication, time, risk, quality, financial management, negotiation, problem‑solving.
- Ability to think strategically, adapt to competing priorities, execute, delegate, collaborate, and perform tasks with high accuracy.
Complexity + Decision‑Making Authority – Responsible for projects of small to moderate scope. May perform direct invoicing and billing to clients.
Responsibilities- Financial Management – Use weekly budget reports, prepare scopes of work, LoE’s, and schedules; identify out‑of‑scope requests; manage invoicing and collections.
- Corporate Compliance + Risk Assessment – Complete contract reviews, ensure contract and subcontract compliance, manage payment terms, and follow QA/QC processes.
- Communication + Collaboration – Ensure clear communication, articulate project requirements, document meetings, and support marketing requests.
- Client + Internal Satisfaction – Adhere to schedules, keep clients informed of delays, and address concerns promptly.
- People Development – Provide performance feedback, assist in recruiting, and guide support staff.
- Technical – Manage projects covering drainage maps, storm hydraulics, roadway design, sewer and water design, plant design, technical reports, pump selection, phase construction, and regulatory permits. Utilize software such as Microsoft Project, Vantagepoint, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam.
Work primarily in an office with occasional client site visits. Requires seated and standing work, mobility, neck movement, repetitive motion, arm movement, and object handling. Cognitive demands include attention, reasoning, and communication skills.
Expected Work Hours & Location Flexibility- Full‑time, 40 hours per week with potential overtime.
- Standard hours 7:30 AM–4:30 PM CST, Monday–Friday.
- Hybrid schedule eligible after training period.
