Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas. The role involves providing lifesaving care, coordinating with our multidisciplinary team, and documenting patient information accurately.

• Collect and convey patient information to team members and the attending physician.
• Perform duties defined in the job description and validated through competency assessment.
• Provide patient safety oversight and active communication with the healthcare team.
• Attend meetings and in‑services as required by departmental policy.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain competence in documentation and charting systems.
• Receive patient reports from EMS, utilizing SBAR for clear communication.
• Support and represent the facility’s core values while performing the role.

• Minimum 2 years of field paramedic experience with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience in a hospital.
• Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic per state requirements.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
