Job Purpose

Support our pharmacy teams to deliver safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and exceptional patient care. As a Technician, you are the first point of contact for patients and the backbone of operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
  • Execute pharmacy workflow procedures for production, pick‑up, drive‑thru and drop‑off, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Show empathy and genuine care, creating personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru and over the phone.
  • Complete inventory activities—putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks—per pharmacy leadership instructions.
  • Maintain a high‑performing team mindset; seek opportunities to expand clinical knowledge.
  • Be flexible for scheduling and business needs, volunteering to travel to stores as required.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies for patient safety and privacy.
  • Deliver additional patient health services—including immunizations and point‑of‑care testing—where licensed and supported by training.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 16 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent; or active enrollment in a high‑school‑equivalent program.
  • State‑level board of pharmacy licensure or national certification required; meets state Board of Pharmacy regulations for each state where you will work.
  • Completion of rigorous company training program before beginning duties; job duties may be limited until all registration, licensing and certification requirements are satisfied.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain reliable attendance, complete required training on time, and apply precise prescription labeling and data entry.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and mathematical reasoning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1‑3 years prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting.
  • Willingness to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs.
Pay Range

Base hourly rate: $16.00 - $24.00
