Provides direct security and related public services.
Responsibilities- Maintain the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, patients and visitors. Serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activity on hospital property.
- Provide supervision for at‑risk patients in the hospital environment.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Completed High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications.
- Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs, and help restrain or lift a person.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).
- Previous work experience with the public in a service setting.
- Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a Taser position and annually thereafter.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a Taser.
- Ability to participate in and pass additional Taser training at the discretion of the Taser instructor.
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Tarian’s Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER) and Tarian’s Taser Policy.
Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week. The environment may be fast‑paced and stressful or quiet and slow‑paced. Employees must sit, stand, walk, reach, climb stairs, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. They must occasionally lift or move objects 25 pounds or more and maintain specific vision abilities.
The role requires mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
