Job Description

Learn and assist technicians in the installation, service, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This role involves interpreting project drawings, pulling wire, mounting back boxes, terminating devices, reading blueprints, maintaining a clean work area, and using appropriate tools and equipment.

  • Assist technicians during installation, service, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.
  • Use project drawings to accurately interpret installation requirements.
  • Pull wire, mount back boxes, terminate devices, climb ladders, and use powered hand tools.
  • Keep job sites clean and organized.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Prioritize safety – submit JSAs, Toolbox Talks, audit forms; report incidents/accidents accurately; hold accountability for safety initiatives and safe driving.
  • Maintain proper inventory, equipment maintenance, and SOP adherence.
  • Ensure timely and accurate timesheet submission and documentation.
  • Maintain production efficiency and budget awareness.
  • Communicate effectively, maintain a professional appearance, and participate in team meetings.
  • Be willing to work overtime, out of town, or on-call as needed.
Qualifications Knowledge
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Understanding and following basic safety procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
  • 2 years of experience as a fire alarm helper preferred.
Skills and Competencies
  • Physical stamina for laborious work up to 20 hours overtime per week.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Sense of pride, integrity, and organizational ability.
  • Enjoy working independently and outdoors.
