As a Union HVAC Mechanic Apprentice at Johnson Controls, you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and relevant building automation technologies in today’s market. • Apprentices will be trained and will perform service on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Apprentices will participate in certified trainings through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.
• Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.
• You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.
• You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience servicing light and heavy commercial HVAC equipment.
• Must be willing to join, and be accepted by, the Local 155 Plumbers and Pipe fitters Union.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug test.
• Passion and desire to learn and apply on the job.
• Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital and written skills.
• Self‑starter with ability to eventually work independently.
• Prioritize safety in all forms.
• EPA Universal Certification

Pay Range: $17.25 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local laborunion aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
