Louisiana Market Lender at Pike National Bank Summary of Duties

Louisiana Market Lenders develop safe and profitable banking relationships with clientele living, owning property, or owning a business in Pike National Bank’s Louisiana Market Area of Tangipahoa and Washington Parish. Responsibilities include real‑estate, consumer and retail commercial loans, as well as assisting with deposit relationships. The role requires a self‑starter capable of managing time, overseeing a loan portfolio, and supervising subordinates.

Responsibilities
  • Teamwork and cooperation: collaborate with co‑workers and assist with tasks assigned by Senior Bank Management.
  • Lending experience: minimum 10 years as a lender in a financial institution environment.
  • Louisiana Market connection: at least 10 years of experience within PNB’s Louisiana markets (Tangipahoa or Washington Parish) and demonstrate deep knowledge of community market conditions and opportunities.
  • Community involvement: active participation in local community events, civic organizations, schools, festivals, and other relevant activities to generate business growth.
  • Business development: primary responsibility to generate new safe loan volume and deposit relationships in Tangipahoa and Washington Parishes.
  • Technological skills: reasonable proficiency in navigating core banking systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Documentation knowledge: organized preparation of lending documentation in compliance with Louisiana law.
  • Complex/commercial loan applications: qualified to handle more complex and larger sized loan requests and provide direct oversight.
  • Financial spreads/reviews: calculate debt‑to‑income or debt‑service coverage ratios, evaluate repayment capacity, and provide data to the financial spreading specialist when needed.
  • Loan assistant oversight: train and manage loan assistants, report personnel matters to the Chief Credit Officer and Senior Bank Management.
  • Loan policy / procedure recommendations: knowledge of all loan policies, offer recommendations to the Chief Credit Officer.
Qualifications /

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years in lending, preferably in a bank or credit union.
  • Strong knowledge of Louisiana banking and market conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and community engagement skills.
  • Proficient in core banking software and Microsoft Office.
  • Detail‑oriented documentation and compliance expertise.
  • Capability to manage a loan portfolio and supervise assistants.
