Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
Under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology, the technologist operates imaging equipment to safely produce diagnostic images of various anatomical body parts for evaluation and interpretation by the radiologist. The technologist must work and relate in a professional, non‑defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors. The technologist is expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the Radiology Department and SMRMC Health Systems.
The technologist must assist with orientation, preceptorship, and management of personnel assigned to the unit. As determined by the Director of Radiology, the technologist will be assigned 80 hours per pay period, or PRN hours, and must also work rotating shifts, on‑call hours. Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is non‑negotiable and is the responsibility of the technologist/employee to arrange and attend sessions.
