Overview

Therapist - in-CIRCLE - McComb, MS at Canopy Children s Solutions

Responsibilities
  • The in-Circle Program Therapist delivers needed mental health services and completes all required clinical assessments.
  • Provide targeted clinical interventions based on identified family needs through assessments and plans; complete required case documentation within program requirements.
  • Collaborate with CPS case workers and the in-Circle Program team on clinical oversight and interventions related to the Preliminary Action Plan (PAP), Crisis Management Plan (CMP), and Case Service Plan.
  • Work with CPS, family, and the in-Circle Program team to address mental health service needs; develop Crisis Management Plans within 24 hours of admission; review CMP with families at Family Team Meetings or case plan reviews.
  • Complete programmatic assessments within designated time frames and use feedback to plan clinical interventions; develop initial goals, objectives, and interventions for the case plan in coordination with the team, CPS, and family.
  • Facilitate initial Family Team Meetings with the CPS caseworker; conduct weekly case plan reviews and monitor progress toward service goals.
  • Implement clinical treatment interventions based on the case plan and family needs; provide and coordinate strength-based, family-centered services.
  • Engage with family members, CPS, community agencies, and stakeholders; participate in quality assurance activities and required program reports; attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures; respond to crises with 24/7 availability as needed; provide transportation when necessary; utilize clinical supervision to enhance service quality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid and current mental health Certification (PCMHT or CMHT) and/or license (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFTA) within 30 days of employment;
    Master s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related behavioral health field required.
  • At least two (2) years of clinical experience working with children and youth with serious emotional disturbances in a similar or more restrictive placement environment and with families with complex needs.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver license, a good driving record, proof of auto liability insurance, and be willing to use a personal vehicle for organization business.
