Job Summary
Under the directions of the Administrative Director of Rehab Services, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing patients with treatment to help them develop and improve their ability to complete everyday tasks related to their job and daily life. This includes performing initial patient assessments, teaching patients to use adaptive technology and coaching them through therapeutic activities. The Occupational Therapist will work a 40‑hour week Monday through Friday.
The Occupational Therapist is expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the department and organization. Must be able to work and relate in a professional non‑defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients and visitors. Will be responsible for documenting total care given, reviewing and maintaining patient charts per policy, and assisting with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders and charges into the computer system.
