An Assistant Facilities Manager supports the Facilities Manager in overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of a building or group of properties. Responsibilities typically include coordinating maintenance and repair work, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and assisting in budgeting and space planning. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to respond quickly to facility‑related issues to ensure smooth and efficient building operations.
EssentialDuties
- Assisting with Facility Operations – Supporting the Facilities Manager in managing daily operations, including maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the building.
- Coordinating Maintenance and Repairs – Overseeing and scheduling maintenance tasks, coordinating with vendors for repairs, and ensuring timely completion of work.
- Ensuring Safety and Compliance – Helping to implement and maintain safety procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and conducting regular inspections.
- Managing Budgets and Expenses – Assisting with budget management, tracking expenses, and preparing reports related to facility operations.
- Supporting Space Planning and Management – Assisting with space planning, allocation, and organization within all facilities (Branches and Warehouse/Storage Locations).
- Handling Emergency Situations – Responding to facility‑related emergencies and issues and coordinating necessary actions.
- Maintaining Records – Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and other relevant documentation.
- Be knowledgeable about all trades or willing to self‑educate in order to efficiently manage sub‑contractors.
- Handle Bank Retention documents – Transporting documents to storage and supervising the destruction of documents through vendor.
- Courier items between PNB branches of supplies, coins, etc.
- Assist in setting up outside Christmas Display at all locations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with trades is encouraged.
- Able to lift, carry, or move packages up to 70 pounds.
- Able to climb ladders.
- Some weekend work will be required for special projects.
- Maintains a valid driver's license.
