Food Prep Person

Our franchise organization, Golden Star Restaurants, Inc. dba Golden Corral, is currently seeking energetic, friendly individuals to join our team!

The quality, quantity, freshness, tastiness, and presentation of our products significantly impact our guests' perceptions of Golden Corral. The Food Prep Person is responsible for preparing (cutting, slicing, peeling, etc.) all fresh fruits and vegetables used in Golden Corral. The freshness of our Cold Choice Buffet reflects our commitment to high-quality, fresh offerings.

Operational Excellence:

• Prepares prep items according to Golden Corral product specifications and recipes.
• Maintains a standard inventory of prep items per the Prep Production Guide and updates it as directed by management.
• Ensures optimal yield of products throughout the product cycle.
• Labels, dates, and rotates all bulk produce and prepped items.
• Stores all food items in approved, covered containers.
• Follows the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance.
• Notifies the Manager of discrepancies such as spoilage, invoice errors, or waste.
• Assists the Buffet Attendant in maintaining a full, clean buffet.
• Cleans and organizes the prep area, including coolers, equipment, and storage.
• Performs duties as scheduled, ensuring cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met.
• Adheres to position responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery.
• Follows local health department laws.

Guest Service:

• Performs administrative tasks and assists guests during meal periods.
