Position: Finisher 1 (2nd Shift)

Overview

Finisher 1 (2nd Shift) at Parker Hannifin. This position is responsible for performing any job duties required in the finish/assembly area, including coiling, packing, reel making, tire wrapping, and mandrel process.

Essential Functions
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices and report all safety and environmental incidents to leadership immediately.
  • Follow and meet standard work requirements for assembly, packaging, processing, and inspection of final product.
  • Perform quality inspections of packaging materials and final product as it is packaged.
  • Ensure all required documents are properly completed.
  • Ensure all packages and disks are labeled properly.
  • Ensure final product meets customer requirements.
  • Must use frequent physical effort to perform job duties.
  • Able to foster professionalism with all associates and with internal and external customers.
Departmental/Non-Essential Functions
  • Participate in peer-based teams and Lean Manufacturing/5-S programs.
  • Participate on project teams and kaizen events when needed.
  • Attend and participate in all required training opportunities to develop in the role.
Education and Experience
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE:

    Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Ability to maintain continuous mental, visual, and auditory attention

  • Basic computer skills
  • Vision:
    Near acuity to read information

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment and hoist if needed
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures

Employee must successfully complete pre-employment screening

Organizational Relationships / Scope
  • Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve issues with processes and equipment
Working Conditions
  • High noise levels from operating machines and equipment
  • Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels
  • Safety equipment required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, high-visibility clothing)
  • Standing for extended periods; regular walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, squatting, lifting
  • Manual dexterity required; may be performed under restrictive conditions
  • Flexible hours and potential overtime on short notice
