Overview
Finisher 1 (2nd Shift) at Parker Hannifin. This position is responsible for performing any job duties required in the finish/assembly area, including coiling, packing, reel making, tire wrapping, and mandrel process.
Essential Functions- Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices and report all safety and environmental incidents to leadership immediately.
- Follow and meet standard work requirements for assembly, packaging, processing, and inspection of final product.
- Perform quality inspections of packaging materials and final product as it is packaged.
- Ensure all required documents are properly completed.
- Ensure all packages and disks are labeled properly.
- Ensure final product meets customer requirements.
- Must use frequent physical effort to perform job duties.
- Able to foster professionalism with all associates and with internal and external customers.
- Participate in peer-based teams and Lean Manufacturing/5-S programs.
- Participate on project teams and kaizen events when needed.
- Attend and participate in all required training opportunities to develop in the role.
- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED preferred. - EXPERIENCE:
Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Sound decision making skills
- Good math, reading and writing skills
- Ability to maintain continuous mental, visual, and auditory attention
- Basic computer skills
- Vision:
Near acuity to read information - Attention to detail; alertness to surroundings and product quality
- Ability to operate material handling equipment and hoist if needed
- Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures
Ability to work well in a team environment

Organizational Relationships / Scope- Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader
- Work closely with other departments to resolve issues with processes and equipment
- High noise levels from operating machines and equipment
- Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels
- Safety equipment required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, high-visibility clothing)
- Standing for extended periods; regular walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, squatting, lifting
- Manual dexterity required; may be performed under restrictive conditions
- Flexible hours and potential overtime on short notice
