Registered Nurse - PRN

Pivot Onsite Innovations is hiring an experienced and self-driven Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN position at its onsite healthcare clinic located at the client's site in McCook, NE. Coverage is as needed:
Monday through Friday, 7 am–3 pm.

Job Summary

The RN coordinates healthcare for employees in the onsite clinic, overseeing evaluation and case management of workplace injuries and compliance with medical surveillance programs. The RN relays information about workplace safety and injury prevention to employees and key stakeholder client representatives, ensuring compliance with OSHA mandates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Treat acute occupational injuries
  • Perform drug tests, hearing tests, pulmonary function tests, and fit tests
  • Respond to medical emergencies and initiate ongoing health and wellness screenings
  • Manage workman’s compensation claims in conjunction with the employer representative and insurance carrier
  • Facilitate return‑to‑work and light‑duty assignments for employees with work‑related injuries
  • Maintain a current case log for workplace injuries, outlining treatment plans for weekly case reviews
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT programs such as hearing conservation, blood‑borne pathogen training, random drug screening, and follow‑up programs
  • Maintain inventory of medications and supplies for the healthcare unit
  • Assist the employer representative with the administration of the Non‑Occupational Disability Program
  • Exhibit a positive and proactive attitude toward managing the clinic, its clinical functions, and patient flow
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain charts and employee records
  • Prepare and supervise the clinic/patient interaction overseen by the physician as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT programs, including hearing conservation, blood‑borne pathogen training, random drug screening, and follow‑up programs
Required Education, Skills, and Abilities
  • Valid state license
  • 3+ years of nursing experience
  • 2+ years of occupational health experience
  • On‑site occupational health experience (Preferred)
  • Certification to perform DOT urine drug and alcohol screens (Preferred)
  • Certification in Occupational Hearing Conservation (Preferred)
  • Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid
  • Ability to communicate at all levels across the organization effectively
  • Strong administrative and management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Experience in developing health and wellness programs and performing ergonomic assessment
  • Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation case management and regulations
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA regulations
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and production facility practices
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and training courses
  • Position may require proof of COVID‑19 vaccination
